Selby Wellbeing Choir

The Selby Wellbeing Choir is a free and inclusive community choir, open to adults from the local area with lived or current experience of mental ill health. Rehearsals are supportive and friendly in a relaxed environment, with tea and coffee provided.

All songs are learnt by ear, covering a range of genres with techniques in how to improve your singing voice, all led by conductor Aaron Soon. No previous experience is necessary. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays 3.45pm – 5.15pm in term time, at The Hawdon Institute, Church Ave, Selby YO8 4PG.

If you are interested in joining the choir, please do get in touch.

“I look forward to the singing each week and would change nothing at all. The group is like a huge safety net."
